Help On Bob Selection Criteria

CRITERIA: This is where you select the type and style of Bob Haircuts you wish to retrieve from the Bob Haircut DataBase. There are five criteria you can specify: Rating, Color, Length, Bangs (Fringe), and Format (picture/drawing).

There are 6 rating values you can select: Worship, Submit, Beg, Cool, OK, and Any. The default is "Any", which means you'd like to see pictures of any quality. The highest rating (best quality) is "Worship" and the lowest is "OK". To change the rating you'd like to see, click where it says "Any" (in the Bob Criteria frame to the left) and it should change. Continue to click until you see the value you'd like. The rating of a Bob picture is determined subjectively by the keepers of the Bob Haircut Worship Page, and is based on picture quality, size, artistic content, and Bob conformancy (Bobness).

There are 5 color values you can select: Blonde, Brunette, Redhead, rainbow, and Any. The default is "Any", which means you'd like to see pictures of any color. Rainbow means non-standard colors, multiple colors, or multiple Bobs in one picture with different colors. To change the color you'd like to see, click where it says "Any" (in the Bob Criteria frame to the left) and it should change. Continue to click until you see the value you'd like. The color of a Bob picture is chosen to, as best as possible, describe the color that is actually seen in that specific picture. Even if we all know a Bob is bright blue, if a specific picture were greyscale and showed it as brunette, we will mark it as brunette. Bad lighting, bad picture, and angle (perhaps hiding a colored streak) can affect how we mark the color of a Bob.

There are 5 length values you can select: Short, Medium, Long, Beyond Bob, and Any. The default is "Any", which means you'd like to see pictures of any length. "Beyond Bob" means this hairstyles that have many or exaggerated aspects associated with Bobs, but which are too long or otherwise violate the strict rules of being a Bob. Fantasy Bob drawings or very wild stylings with blunt ends and sharp corners and bangs might qualify for this. To change the length you'd like to see, click where it says "Any" (in the Bob Criteria frame to the left) and it should change. Continue to click until you see the value you'd like. The length of a Bob picture is determined very unscientifically the keepers of the Bob Haircut Worship Page. Bangs, if present, have some, but very little, influence on this.

Also called "fringe", bangs are the blunt set of hair which hangs straight down over the forehead. There are 3 bangs values you can select: With, Without, and Any. The default is "Any", which means you'd like to see pictures whether they do or do not have bangs. To change the bangs status you'd like to see, click where it says "Any" (in the Bob Criteria frame to the left) and it should change. Continue to click until you see the value you'd like. Sometimes bangs are slight or long and curvy and are hard to define as being or not being actual bangs. We have tried to stick with a blunt Bob-esque definition of bangs wherever possible. Long hair, laying across the forehead sideways or at an angle is not considered bangs.

There are 3 format values you can select: Picture, Drawing, and Any. The default is "Any", which means you'd like to see Bob images whether they are in picture or drawing format. To change the format you'd like to see, click where it says "Any" (in the Bob Criteria frame to the left) and it should change. Continue to click until you see the value you'd like. Picture format means anything that has been mechanically, optically, chemically, or otherwise recorded from an actual, existing original. Drawing format means anything that has been created from memory or fantasy by someone using any media, or a picture which has been modified by whatever means such that it appears to have more modification than original content.
